Prenatal Belly Dance
This unique and fun way to stay fit during pregnancy doesn't only prepare you physically for the big
day but mentally too. Belly dance originated to help women prepare for labor. Today you can learn
from a physical therapist trained in prenatal anatomy andphysiology.

SPECIAL MOTHERS CELEBRATION INTRO CLASS ON Friday, MAY 22, 2009 at 10am RSVP early,
class size is small. Investment: $18.

Class is held every Friday @ 10:00 am
Every class provides a cardiopulmonary exercise based on ACOG guidelines.
Classes teach women how to prevent common musculoskeletal complaints during
pregnancy in addition to learning to strengthen, tone, activate, and lengthen specific
postural and respiratory muscles to aid the body during pregnancy, labor, birth, and
everyday life activities. Learn to consciously relax and eliminate pain and tension
based on current, evidence based medicine. Improve posture, continence, low
back, hip, and pelvic dynamic stability. All classes end with guided imagery,
bonding with baby, and a nurturing foot massage for mommy to be.

Michelle encourages perinatal, fitness, and health care professionals to attend
classes to create awareness, community, & understanding of the benefits of this
approach to prenatal wellness as it is based on current movement science
research.
