The Breastfeeding Resource Center of Miami, Inc. with Womb's View Center was developed as a county wide effort to reduce the gap in disparities among
breastfeeding services provided in Miami-DadeCounty and compliment existing service. It is our Mission to reduce early cessation of breastfeeding thereby
lowering infant mortality and morbidity. This mission is being met through the following services:

- FREE Breastfeeding Helpline 305-428-2882
Developed to give all mothers in Miami-DadeCounty the help they need when they need it. Your call is free. You can listen to prerecorded help question or
speak to a lactation consultant. We will answer your question and you only incur cost when breastfeeding problem requires more expertise then typical
phone help and upon your agreement.

In Home Lactation Consultations
Developed to meet the mothers needs where they need it the most: Their own environment. This is especially important for mothers when they have had
a c-section and/or would prefer not to travel.
Cost: $125.00 (First 1 1/2 hours)

- Breast Pump Sales and Breastpump Rentals
We offer a vareity of breast pumps for all your needs. Whether your baby was born prematurely or you are going back to work, we have a pump that
will fit your need and budget.
Cost: $55.00-85.00 per month

- Breastfeeding Doula
This service begin to fit the needs of those mothers that need someone to spend the day with them while they are learning to breastfeed. This is a
cost effective way to get all the support you need after a lactation consultant has helped and resolved any problems.
Cost: $35.00 per hour

- Professional Resource for Community Health Care Workers
We provide health care professional working with women in Dade and Broward training and support .

Breastfeeding Training for State and Local Health Employees
We have developed many curriculums to meet the needs of all facilities wether it be hospital, doctors office or clinic. Training programs are designed to fit
the needs of each organization and can include Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Training, Best Start Training, and Basic Breastfeeding

Community Partnerships
The BFRCM works to form partnerships with organizations to serve populations in Miami-Dade County that can not afford to pay for
service, collect data for research purposes and provide complimentary service to existing service.
If you can not afford Service please call because there may be a program available to you at no cost.
